Economic development is key to create new job opportunities and build strong and vibrant economies. Building stronger economies is at the heart of EU cooperation with its Eastern Partners. A key instrument for promoting greater economic development is access to the EU market, with Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine signing agreements on a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) as part of their EU Association Agreements. The EU provides support to reforms for the successful implementation of the DCFTAs, which will bring partners in line with international and EU standards. The EU focuses on strengthening the business environment across the region by supporting small businesses through the EU4Business initiative.
