The European Union and the United Nations will co-chair the Fifth Brussels Conference on “Supporting the future of Syria and the region” on 29-30 March 2021.

As inclusion of civil society is essential for the future of Syria as well as for the crisis response of the refugee-hosting countries, the EU has held an online consultation through Upinion’s platform to capture the voices of civil society and as a confirmation of the EU’s commitment to work closely with civil society actors in Syria and the region.

The insights and recommendations of 1.572 participants from civil society representatives from Syria and the region, international NGOs, local authorities, academia, and individuals resulted in this report.

The outcome of this consultation will be communicated at the Brussels V Conference’s Ministerial event on 30 March.
