The EU Delegation to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is seeking to recruit two International Aid / Cooperation Officers to support the EU Regional Trust Fund in response to the Syrian crisis, the “Madad Fund” (EUTF). The first position will deal with health programs, the second one with Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programs.

Tasks will include:

  • Programme /Project/Process Management
    • To manage the implementation of the EUTF related programmes in compliance with the EUTF Board decisions.
    • Contribute to all aspects of the contracting and procurement processes, attend management and monitoring meetings, attend field visits and propose action if and when needed.
    • To contribute to the response to the Syrian crisis (policy dialogue, identification/formulation of dedicated programmes or mainstreaming in sector programmes) in the health or WASH sectors.
    • To ensure the gender equality and human rights based approach in all programmes at the different steps of the programme cycle management.
    • To contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of projects.
  • Representation, Negotiation, Participation:
    • To maintain good and effective contacts with the beneficiaries in the field.
    • To ensure efficient coordination with all the stakeholders involved in the response to the refugee crisis (national authorities and institutions, representatives of the diplomatic missions of the EU Member States, representatives of the international donors’ community, as well as NGOs and other stakeholders), in line with country-relevant strategies.
    • To ensure that the results of projects are disseminated and outcomes presented at workshops, seminars, conferences or other public events.
    • To advocate, monitor and promote gender equality and the respect for human rights in meetings, coordination efforts and other public and internal events.
  • External Communication: Communication relating to EU supported programmes and projects
    • To extract and disseminate best practices and facilitate exchange of experiences;
    • To contribute to the production of publications/information material;
