The EU Delegation offers awards to the first three winners, as well as holding an exhibition featuring the top 30 photos. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities will give a special award to two photographers who promote the country’s rich tourism sector. The Ministry of Environment, represented by Eco Egypt, offers another special award to the best photo taken at a nature reserve. Launched in September 2020, Eco Egypt targets raising public awareness about the importance of the environment, natural resources and environmental tourism.

Photographers are invited to highlight the wealth and beauty of Egypt’s civilisation, heritage and culture; promote the Egyptian touristic sites and its ecotourism sector, including photos of the wildlife and plants diversity in the country; and shed light on the modern mega projects implemented with the aim of achieving the SDGs and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The deadline for submission is Monday 15 March 2021.
