Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Libya – Press & Information Team

Are you a young graduate interested in international relations? Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Libya?

The EU Delegation offers a traineeship of 3 months (renewable once for a maximum period of 3 months as the maximum period of the traineeship is limited to 6 months) within the Press and Information Team, part of the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Libya, starting in June 2021.

The Press and Information Team (part of the Political, Press and Information Section) works closely with the EU Ambassador to Libya and all sections of the EU Delegation to ensure the European Union’s values, objectives and activities are effectively communicated to the public, as well as Libyan and international partners. The P&I Team responds to press requests, monitors local and international media, manages the EU Delegation’s website and social media accounts, designs communication campaigns and organises visibility events, and analyses developments in Libya’s media landscape.

Main tasks:

  • Monitor media and assist in the preparation of press reviews, as needed.
  • Contribute to the drafting of press releases, social media posts, website articles, brochures and other communication materials
  • Assist in the management of the EU Delegation’s website and social media channels.
  • Contribute to the design of social media and other communication campaigns
  • Assist in the preparation of audio-visual products
  • Assist in the preparation of events, as needed.
