Sport is fun, exciting and it brings people together. Sport is also based on fairness and respect – regardless of who you are and where you come from.

This makes it a powerful tool for breaking barriers and building a more inclusive society.

The European Commission #BeInclusive EU Sport Awards will recognise organisations using the power of sport to increase social inclusion for disadvantaged groups.

The ability of sport to break down barriers is increasingly being used as a powerful tool to bring together people from all kinds of backgrounds, and in particular from disadvantaged groups – and we want to celebrate this!

With your organisation, you may be working with ethnic minorities, refugees, people with disabilities, youth groups at-risk, or any other group that faces challenging social circumstances.

Winning projects will be showcased to inspire other organisations and individuals around Europe – but sharing a project can earn much more than well-deserved recognition:

The winning projects will also be awarded €10,000!

The 3 winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony in November in Brussels, where they will also have the opportunity to present their projects to an audience of sport inclusion experts and receive their €10,000 awards. 6 preselected projects will receive €2,500 each.
