Series of EU-funded cross-border cooperation projects kick off

GREENinMED is to be launched on 27 November in Malaga, Spain. The project, which will be implemented in Spain, France and Israel, proposes an integrated approach for the development of new products and services addressed to the efficient use of water and energy and reduction in consumption by 10% in the hotel industry. Other projects implemented in the framework of the EU-funded cross-border ENI CBC MED programme, have recently kicked off:

SME4SMARTCITIES project was presented to Andalucia Smart City on 12 November to introduce the project to the SMEs which showed their interest in developing solutions that make cities smarter and greener. The project will make the collaboration between public authorities and SMEs possible to make cities more efficiently managed and more livable for communities. The beneficiary countries are Spain, Italy, Israel, Palestine and Jordan.

BERLIN project’s kick off meeting was successfully held on 24 October 2019 in Limassol, Cyprus. The project aims to implement cross-border pilot measures to support innovative and cost-effective energy rehabilitations in public buildings in Greece, Israel and Italy.

On 2-3 October, the partners of the EU-funded ENI CBC MED "MAIA-TAQA" project met in Athens for the kick-off meeting which was followed by a press conference at the premises of CRES (Center for Renewable Energy Sources). The project gathers 8 partners from 6 countries, namely Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Spain, and aims at promoting innovative resource efficiency services in the Mediterranean SMEs through the enhancement of their technical and management capacities.
