It is a pleasure for me to receive again my friend the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia [Khemaies Jhinaoui], in Brussels on the occasion of the 15th session of the Association Council between the European Union and Tunisia.
We have discussed at length the priority that I consider to be the most important of our partnership: supporting the ambitions of Tunisian youth. I am pleased to announce that we have today signed € 60 million in funding through the joint EU4Youth program for youth, and more specifically disadvantaged youth through economic, social and economic inclusion. policy.
I am also proud that our goal of tripling Erasmus + grants to support the mobility of young Tunisian students and researchers has been achieved. Thousands of young Tunisians will now be able to benefit from this opportunity.
Our cooperation and our economic relations are now solid. This year, the European Union's financial commitment to Tunisia reached 305 million euros in donations.
