According to studies, by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the sea. The EU has now banned selected single-use products made of plastic, most often found on European beaches, to in order to reduce marine plastic litter.
Some of the things you can do:

. Separate your plastic bottles into the recycling bins
. Avoid unnecessary plastic packages, bags single use items
. Use reusable straws, bags and bottles
. Say no to disposable cutlery

An EU-led global effort is underway to mark International Coastal Cleanup day. The EU Delegation to Israel and EU Member States will be cleaning the beach in Tel Aviv-Jaffa as part of the Sail Tel Aviv Festival. Join The EU delegation for the #EUBeachCleanUp and help protect the sea!
