200+ students and volunteers will join forces on 18 January 2022 in Palestine for a clean-up campaign organised by Palestinian Heritage Trail, local partner of the CROSSDEV project.

The campaign will take place along the newly developed hiking trail in the villages between Beit Mirsim and Battir and is part of a long commitment of the project to enhance environmental sustainability, promotion of eco-tourism, and engagement with volunteers and students, who are encouraged to take part in their own local community’s development activities.

The clean-up campaign aims to increase youth’s awareness on the concept of social responsibility towards heritage, civilisation and environment preservation and protection, and to strengthen the bonds among the tourism stakeholders in the communities involved in the project.

CROSSDEV – Cultural Routes for Sustainable Social and economic Development in Mediterranean – is funded by the European Union through the ENI CBC MED Programme and contributes to the socio-economic development of the target areas using sustainable tourism as the mail tool.
