THE NEXT SOCIETY is calling researchers & entrepreneurs with an innovative technology project looking to create a start-up in Lebanon to apply to the Technology Transfer Bootcamp before October 10 and get access to unique networking opportunities and support.
Researchers, postgraduates, innovators, engineers or technicians who developed a research project or technology and look to turn it into a business are invited to take part in the first Technology Transfer Bootcamp: From Research to Innovation, which will take place on 18-20 October in Mkalles, Lebanon.
The Bootcamp, organized by Berytech in the framework of the EU-funded THE NEXT SOCIETY, will allow participants to develop their research or technology innovation in food, water, and energy into practical and commercially viable products. It will help explore market, funding, commercialization, and business opportunities, and develop a valid business model for their innovation.
Out of all applicants, 25 will be chosen and granted access to the 3-day intensive Bootcamp (for free), led by local and international experts, for up to 2 people per team. To make things more challenging, one team will be chosen to receive tailor-made advisory sessions from Berytech and industry partners, and international visibility through THE NEXT SOCIETY.
The Bootcamp’s program offers both theoretical and applied learning, with case studies and one-on-one mentoring sessions with the experts. The participants will also profit from networking opportunities and an exchange of knowledge and tools.
