The EU-funded MED MSMEs programme has launched two surveys to involve professionals in the reflection, the formulation of a vision and the definition of priorities. The result of the surveys will assist in elaborating a National RoadMap that will be implemented with the support of the MED MSMEs Programme.

Policies and instruments to support exporting SMEs: This survey seeks to gather the opinions of professionnals of the SME support ecosystem on the opportunities and challenges facing exporting SMEs in the country (direct exporters or suppliers in global value chains). This survey is structured into three main chapters: opportunities, diagnostic and responses to challenges, priorities.

How can innovative and alternative finance (IAF) better serve MSMEs development? : There is nothing more invaluable than professionals’ opinion to issue a diagnostic and forge a vision about the future for MSME Innovative & Alternative Finance (IAF), defined as “non-traditional bank loans” and that notably includes microfinance, venture capital, leasing, factoring, crowdfunding and fintechs.

In line with the elaboration of policies for inclusive growth in the EU Southern Neighbourhood, the EU-funded MED MSMEs Programme (2018-2022) builds on a national participatory approach, international best practices and regional initiatives to foster the formulation and implementation of integrated policies and instruments supporting the development of MSMEs.
