Lebanon: a new ambitious entrepreneur joins the BESTMEDGRAPE project

An ambitious PhD student at the faculty of sciences at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut has joined the BESTMEDGRAPE project implemented under the EU-funded ENI CBC Med Programme.

Anna-Maria Abi Khattars’ idea consists of creating an affordable meal replacer or booster from grape pomace base, mainly to kids that are suffering from malnutrition or not being able to have the necessary daily intake of needed not only in calories but especially in nutrients.

BESTMEDGRAPE “New Business opportunities & Environmental suSTainability using MED GRAPE nanotechnological products” aims to foster the sustainable exploitation of winemaking waste to obtain nanotechnological products for human health, supporting at the same time the creation of startups and SMEs.
