TunisiaThe European diplomacy at the bedside of the climate in Algiers
In the framework of the European Climate Diplomacy Week which was held from 24 to 28 September, the European Delegation to Algeria, the EU member states embassies and the University of Blida organized an information and exchange day on climate action.
The aim of the initiative was to promote the global agenda of the climate action with a specific attention to the concrete actions carried out in the EU countries but also in the framework of the EU-Algeria partnership.
“This year, we would like to address to a young audience to illustrate the challenges that the EU countries are facing, and the concrete political and technical solutions that we try to bring,” said Mr. John O’Rourke, Ambassador, head of the EU Delegation to Algeria. “Youth engagement is critical: We hope that young people will promote social and technological innovation that we need to ensure the preservation of the environment.”
