The EU provides €12.6 million for the payment of social allowances to Palestinian Families

The European Union, Finland and Spain made a contribution of €12.6 million to the Palestinian Authority payment of social allowances to poor families in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The payments provided (€10 million from EU, €1.6 million from Finland and €1 million from Spain) will cover the social allowances of around 62,000 families of which 80% live in the Gaza Strip.

The EU supports the Ministry of Social Development in serving some 108,000 vulnerable families through an inclusive and equitable social protection system.
