In order to keep the Palestinian Traffic Police up to date, the EU Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support (EUPOL COPPS) delivered last week dash cameras and tablets to be installed in police vehicles in the districts to help the police in collecting evidence on traffic violations.
The tablets will enable the senior officers of the Traffic Department to monitor major traffic violations and pass timely instructions.

EUPOL COPPS police experts believe that in order to reduce causalities of traffic accidents, police should work more on harnessing the support of local communities for safer roads.

EUPOL COPPS is the European Union Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support. The aim of the Mission is to contribute to the establishment of sustainable and effective policing arrangements and to advise Palestinian counterparts on criminal justice and rule of law related aspects under Palestinian ownership.
