On August 20 and 21, a Strategic and Operational Planning Workshop was held in Nablus District for 29 senior Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) officers to develop the skills and abilities to translate the PCP Strategic Plan 2017-2022 into District Operational Plans. The Northern District PCP officers from Qalqilya, Tubas, Tulkarem, Nablus and Jenin Districts, including the Northern District Commanders and Planning Officers received the valuable training.

These plans will better serve the needs of the Palestinian people in those districts. Similar Planning Workshops will also be held for the Senior PCP Officers in the Central and Southern Districts in the upcoming weeks.

EUPOL COPPS facilitated these workshops, as well as made several presentations on EU and Canadian standards on Strategic and Operational Planning.

EUPOL COPPS is the European Union Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support. The aim of the Mission is to contribute to the establishment of sustainable and effective policing arrangements and to advise Palestinian counterparts on criminal justice and rule of law related aspects under Palestinian ownership.
