The rapporteur of the Harmonisation Committee Yousef Abdul Samad stressed the importance of continued cooperation with the Mission and the role this workshop has played in raising the capabilities of the members of the Committee by introducing them to comparative experiences. He considered the training to be particularly useful in light of the challenges facing the Committee, and the large amount of legislation which needs to be harmonised.

EUPOL COPPS is the European Union Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support. The aim of the Mission is to contribute to the establishment of sustainable and effective policing arrangements and to advise Palestinian counterparts on criminal justice and rule of law related aspects under Palestinian ownership.
