TunisiaEU helps young Jordanians and Syrians find a job
Qudra has co-organised a Career Day to provide a platform for young Jordanian and Syrian trainees to meet with potential employers. Over 750 vocational training participants attended the event and over 60% of the ones who have been surveyed, had an on-the-spot interview with one of the companies present. Throughout the day, the trainees were participating in a CV clinic, career counseling and workshops on how to start businesses.
Qudra in Jordan offers vocational training to 5000 Jordanians and Syrians on the semi-skilled and skilled worker level. Until now nearly 2000 trainees have completed their training successfully and have received certificates on the semi-skilled (or skilled) worker level. Until April 2019, 5000 Jordanians and Syrians will complete the training.
Qudra is a regional action financed by the EU Regional Trust Fund in response to the Syrian crisis, the ‘Madad’ Fund and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), seeking to strengthen the resilience of Syrian refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in response to the Syrian and Iraqi crises.
