An EU-funded project works to increase trade between Iraq and Jordan

The EU-funded project “Upgrading Karamah Border Crossing Point: Improved Access to Economic Development and Enhanced Stability” works with IOM (International Organisation for Migration) Jordan and UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) to increase traffic through al-Karamah border and benefit trade between Iraq and Jordan, contributing to the overall economic recovery of the region.

Yesterday, a round table discussion took place between Jordanian, Iraqi and private sector stakeholders about the latest developments, needs, opportunities and challenges as well as solutions regarding Karamah-Turaibil Border Crossing.
