EU-funded CyberSouth project committed in providing courses on cybercrime and electronic evidence

Two major events were held last February in the framework of the EU-funded CyberSouth project.

A workshop on the integration and the development of basic and advanced courses on cybercrime and electronic evidence took place on 18-22 February in Rabat, Morocco. The workshop was organized by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Higher Institute of the Judiciary and the General Prosecution Office of Morocco.

The ECTEG (European Cybercrime Training and Education Group’s) training on Live Data Forensics was provided on 18-22 February 2019 in partnership with the Romanian Police Academy in Bucharest. The aim of the course was to provide an introduction to Live Data Forensics and the use of Live Data investigative techniques. The training was delivered to 25 participants from Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Lebanon, Jordan, France and Romania.

CyberSouth is a joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It contributes to the prevention and control of cybercrime and other offences involving electronic evidence in the region of the Southern Neighbourhood, in line with international human rights and rule of law standards and good practices.
