The EU-funded Central Training Centre was inaugurated in Lebanon

On Tuesday 29 May, the official inauguration of the Central Training Centre (CTC) took place at Rayak Air Base.

The creation of the CTC, is a part of the technical assistance project Enhanced Capability for Integrated Border Management in Lebanon (IBM Lebanon), which is funded by the EU and implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy development (ICMPD). This project represents six years of support to Lebanon, totalling approximately EUR 14 million.

The establishment of the CTC represents a significant step forward in the development of the capacities of Land Border Regiments (LBRs). It will contribute to the exchange of experience among training participants and ensure uniformity of training.
