CyFy 2018 Africa Conference addresses new cyber threats

The CyFy 2018 Africa Conference on Cyber Security and Internet Governance was held from 10 to 12 May in Tangier, Morocco. The Council of Europe was a partner in this event.

Topics discussed involved collaboration between private sector and civil society with governments to provide universal digital access.

This CyFy Africa helped address some key issues such as robotic and artificial intelligence in the light of questions related to gender, race, ethnicity and equity.

In a workshop on digital pickpockets, a new cyber-crime wave, speakers discussed the new threats, the criminal justice approach and the need for capacity building on cybercrime and electronic evidence.
