Tunisia“Connecting the dots”: EuroMeSCo opens a new chapter and a call for researchers
The Euro-Mediterranean think tank network EuroMeSCo kicks off the project “EuroMeSCo: Connecting the dots”, co-funded by the European Union and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed). The project aims to contribute to inclusive and evidence-based policymaking by fostering research and recommendations in relation to European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) priorities, and in particular on economic development, migration and security.
In the framework of the project, EuroMeSCo has also opened a call for researchers to join its five Joint Study Groups for 2020, which will be dealing with: the transition towards green economy in the Southern Neighbourhood; cybersecurity in the Middle East and North Africa; new human smuggling strategies; post-Covid-19 EU-MENA-Africa trade relations; and Covid-19 related opportunities for terrorist groups in the region.
Each Joint Study Group will be made up of four authors, including a coordinator, who will jointly produce a Policy Study with policy recommendations sustained in fieldwork and evidence-based research. The composition of the groups will respect gender, geographical and generational balance, and applications will remain open until 15 June (included).
EuroMeSCo is a network of 104 think tanks and research institutes from 29 different Euro-Mediterranean countries coordinated by the IEMed.
