As part of its third component dedicated to communication and mobilization of the population, the EU-funded PPRD South 3 organised a two-day workshop in Rabat, Morocco, in cooperation with the Moroccan authorities, on communication in emergency. Being able to reach the population in the event of a crisis is crucial and to that end, identifying the tools suitable for all types of population is necessary.
The PPRD South 3 partner countries, such as Morocco, Palestine, Jordan and Tunisia, presented the tools they developed to mobilize the population and then worked on possible tools to reach people living with disabilities. Then, the steps for creating and managing a campaign were discussed as well as making it accessible to vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly and people living with disabilities. Finally, the group of participants was presented the virtual reality campaign, EU saves lives, whose products can be used by partner countries in awareness-raising activities.

The overall objective of EU-funded PPRD South 3 is to contribute to increasing resilience and reducing the social, economic and environmental costs of natural and man-made disasters in the ENP South region, based on the results of the PPRD South Program and the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM).
