In anticipation of the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP24), which will take place in the city of Katowice, Poland, on 2-14 December 2018, Clima-Med, ‘’Acting for Climate in Southern Mediterranean’’ is launching a regional photo contest.

Photos should reflect climate change and sustainability challenges that local communities face in the Southern Mediterranean region. The contest is open to non-professional, student photographers or simply anyone who cares about achieving a sustainable future in the Southern Mediterranean region. The competition is open to the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia.

The closing date for the contest is 29 November 2018

The EU-funded project “Clima-Med – Acting for Climate in South Mediterranean” aims at supporting the transition of partner countries towards sustainable, low-carbon and climate-resilient development. The overall objective of the initiative is to enhance energy security and adaptive capacity of partner countries and subsequently contribute to more stable, efficient, competitive and climate-resilient socioeconomic contexts, while increasing energy sovereignty and reducing CO2 emissions.
