Algeria-EU: pilot projects for cross-sectoral rural development

Thanks to a co-financing (Algeria-EU) of 20 million euros, the rural development projects concerning the wilayas of Setif, Tlemcen, Ain Timouchent and Laghouat were initiated under the pilot action program for rural development and agriculture (PAP ENPARD) of the EU. This is what the Director General of Forests (DGF), entrusted Monday September 30 at the APS (Algérie Presse Service) during the national seminar on the development of rural territories organized at the National Institute of Agricultural Research of Algeria (INRAA).

Since the program was launched in 2016, DGF and EU teams have worked to strengthen the associational network through training. The study of the promising sectors for each wilaya was also discussed.
