Within the framework of the implementation of the CapDeL Programme to build the capacities of local development actors, especially those related to civil society organizations, the Programme has announced the launch of its second local incubator for community projects at the pilot municipalities level.

Two 5-day training sessions will be organized for associative executives from about 60 associations. These civil society associations will benefit from a practical training supported by educational and methodological tools, on project cycle management; strategic planning; association vision and partnership. An individual coaching will be provided to finalise the projects. At the end of this incubation process, the most successful projects will benefit from funding by the CapDeL program.

The programme ‘Participatory Democracy and Local Development’ (CapDeL), is promoted by the Algerian Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with the support of the European Union. Through strengthening the capacity of local development actors, it aims at promoting a coordinated and transparent local governance, reinforcing social cohesion and developing an inclusive and diversified local economy. The CapDel is implemented in 10 pilot municipalities.
