The Eastern Partnership Business Forum 2018 takes place in Vienna on 6 December, organised by the Austrian Presidency of the EU Council.

The Forum and B2B Matchmaking platform will be an opportunity for representatives of companies, experts and public institution from EU member states and the EU’s six Eastern partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine) to exchange knowledge and views in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy, and IT and the digital market.

The conference is free of charge. Advance registration is advised in order to guarantee attendance and relevant B2B meetings. The deadline for registration is 30 November.

The morning session will include two panels:

  • Energy efficiency and renewable energy
Participants will have the opportunity to share information in the fields of energy efficiency, sustainability in energy use and renewable energy. The focus of this panel will be on the integration of new technologies in the development of renewable energies – which actions have already been taken, what are the current trends and which activities will be crucial in the future.
  • IT and digital markets
Digitalisation is creating new opportunities and opening up new markets, with digital technologies having a significant impact on all areas of economic and political cooperation in the Eastern Partnership. Presentations & panel discussion will focus on opportunities in the digital single market, broadband connectivity, and private sector investments.

The afternoon will be devoted to B2B matchmaking meetings. With the “b2match” matchmaking tool participants can book individual b2b meetings with national and international guests or with trade commissioners from Advantage Austria.
