Are you a young game-changer aged between 16 and 25, with a good level of English and a citizen of the European Union or one of the Eastern partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova or Ukraine)? Are you interested in EU affairs, your country’s partnership with the EU and would like to engage in online and dialogue-driven activities to contribute to the developments and prosperity of your communities and countries?
If so, the ‘EU NEIGHBOURS east’ project invites you to become a ‘Young European Ambassador’ and take part in an initiative that currently connects nearly 500 young people from the EU Member States and the Eastern partner countries! The deadline for your application is Wednesday, 12th June, 2019 at 23:59 CEST.
The role of the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) is to represent the youth of their countries and network with young people from the European Union and the Eastern partner countries. They exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences, discuss matters of concern to young people, share best practices, and work together for a better future.
This year marks the fourth round of applications to become a ‘Young European Ambassador’. Over the three prior rounds of applications, the initiative has grown steadily, increasing the number of selected ‘Young European Ambassadors’ from 100 in 2016 to nearly 500 in 2018. Over the past three years, they have actively participated in more than 300 activities, including visits to schools and universities, EU discussion clubs, EuroSchools, participation in Youth Fairs, activities dedicated to the protection of the environment, and many more across the Eastern partner countries. They have also participated and represented the youth of their countries at international events and conferences.
