On 30 March, Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) in the Republic of Moldova will organise a quiz for young people in the country’s capital of Chisinau, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership (EaP).

Entitled “What? Where? When?”, the quiz will consist of a series of questions about specific topics.

By organising this contest, Moldovan YEAs would like to draw attention to the EaP and its 10th anniversary and allow their peers in Moldova to gain more knowledge about the subject while playing and enjoying a game with friends.

The YEAs have prepared 36 questions about the history, achievements and deliverables of the EaP and some other fun facts about the EU and EaP countries. They have also included questions on the national cuisines, songs and dances of EaP countries and on the most memorable performances by singers from the countries at the Eurovision song contest.

Young people from all over Moldova are invited to create teams. The organisers aim to have as many participants as possible from different regions.

Information on how to register a team – which must be made up of between 2 and 6 members – can be found here. The three teams with the highest scores will receive prizes.

The ‘Young European Ambassadors’ initiative aims to foster cooperation and sustainable links between young people and youth organisations from the EU and its Eastern Partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

The YEAs are part of the Young European Neighbours network, an online platform that facilitates the mutual exchange of ideas and information on the EU, as well as the engagement of young people in informative activities. It is focused on people-to-people contacts and dialogue-driven activities that contribute to greater awareness and improved perception of the EU and the enhanced assessment of its relations with the Eastern Neighbourhood.
