Sustainable Energy Days took place in Ukrainka, Ukraine on 6-7 September. Organised as a part of a project under the EU-supported initiative, ‘Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects’, attendees had the chance to learn about energy efficiency thanks to an EU4Energy pop-up stand.
This had quizzes, games, and interactive features, which demonstrated what energy efficiency looks like in practice. Visitors were surprised to learn that by replacing lightbulbs with LED ones, they can save up to 80% on lighting costs. At the same time, insulating building walls to EU standards can help reduce heating costs by more than 60%. Electric car demonstrations were also organised as part of the Energy Days, along with public quizzes and competitions for the children.
