More than 120 children in Konotop, Ukraine, are benefiting from better conditions in their energy-efficient kindergarten. The building was refurbished as part of the EU-financed initiative ‘Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects.’

The works included the insulation of the facade, basement, and the roof. As a result, it is expected that the kindergarten will save more than €4,000 on heating bills each year. The EU-supported project foresees the renovation of the public kindergarten and a school.
