On 5 March, the EU Council decided to extend the asset freeze restrictions on 10 people deemed responsible for misappropriation of Ukrainian state funds and abuse of office.

The sanctions have been reviewed annually since their introduction in March 2014, and have now been extended until 6 March 2021.

The EU Council has also lifted the restrictive measures against two other persons.

The legal acts will be published in the Official Journal on 6 March 2020.
