Twenty organisations in Ukraine promoting women's economic opportunities during the COVID-19 pandemic will provide frontline assistance in the east of the country.

The organisations received grants from the Ukrainian Women’s Fund as part of the EU-supported "Women’s movement at the frontline of response to post-COVID-19 challenges in Ukraine" project.

One of the beneficiaries is the Information and Training Centre for Public Initiatives. It supports the reorientation of women's entrepreneurship to remote working conditions and encourages women to support each other. A respective training programme was attended by 123 entrepreneurs.

The participants of the programme also suggested ideas on how to integrate social components aimed at protecting vulnerable women into their businesses. The three most convincing participants received cash certificates for the development and manufacturing of promotional materials for their products and services – business cards, booklets and packaging that include the contact information of services to combat domestic violence.
