TV and online video journalists from the six countries in the Eastern Neighbourhood region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine) are invited to apply for new funding to produce investigative stories on topics that are of importance in their country: corruption, freedom of expression and human rights violations.

The journalistic products could also touch upon important regional issues and focus on issues related to the EU and their respective countries’ relations with the Union.

The funding is offered through the EU-funded OPEN Media Fund project, which will provide successful candidates with the financial means and practical guidance to produce and disseminate such coverage at an appropriate quality level.

The content could be created in the format of audio-visual stories, news features or an online portfolio. More information on eligibility criteria and how to apply can be found here.

This call also seeks to increase the amount of analytic, in-depth, high-quality programmes available for the audiences in these countries and available for distribution regionally and internationally via the project’s Content Exchange Platform.
