New EU project to support community-based value chain in mountainous regions of Azerbaijan

On 11 April, the EU launched a new project in Azerbaijan to support community-based value chain enhancement in the Greater Caucasus Mountains area of the country.

Implemented by the Slow Food Association, the project will work closely with local authorities, civil society groups and other stakeholders to share EU best practices and experience on local identities and gastronomy, as well as the conservation of biodiversity and cultural heritage in the area.

The project will be implemented in the Shamakhi, Ismayilli, Gabala, Shaki, and Gakh regions of Azerbaijan
