The European Union and British Council have recently announced the launch of the Cultural Bridges programme in Ukraine. Running between November 2017 and October 2020, the three-year programme will award around 100 grants to fund a range of activities, including international mobility, national and international cooperation projects, and training and study visits. The first call for applications will be announced on 20 November 2017.

The programme is funded by the European Union as part of the EU’s support to the implementation of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine. The aim of the programme is to develop the cultural sector in Ukraine and to enable it to engage more effectively with cultural organisations and operators in the EU.

The EU’s contribution to the programme is €1.3 million.
