A new energy efficient building was opened in the Ukrainian region of Khmelnitsky on 25 April, thanks to the support of the EU-funded “U-LEAD with Europe” project.
The building, which was built in record time in just four months, will offer more than 150 types of administrative services to the 43,000 citizens of communities in the Khmelnitsky region. It was constructed using energy efficient materials in accordance with EU standards, allowing savings of up to 50% in energy consumption.
As part of the “U-LEAD with Europe” programme, it is planned that more than 600 similar administrative services buildings will be opened in Ukraine before the end of 2020.
The «U-LEAD with Europe” is an international programme which is financed by the European Union and several of its Member States, namely Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Poland and Sweden.
