A kindergarten in the town of Cantemir in the Republic of Moldova will be retrofitted in order to become more energy efficient, helping the town to save energy and money on utilities. The retrofitting works are being conducted as part of the EU-supported “Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects” initiative and should be completed by November 2019.
The kindergarten, known as “Kindergarten no. 1” in the context of the project, is one of several public buildings that will become energy efficient as a result of the project. Four more schools and kindergartens in Cantemir will undergo similar retrofitting thanks to financial support provided by the EU. This will help provide more comfortable conditions for pupils, while enabling the town to save money and energy.
