Inclusive tourist site for birdwatching opened in Valožyn district of Belarus with EU support

A new, “inclusive” tourist site for birdwatching was opened on 1 September in the village of Zamasciany in the Valožyn district of Belarus. The site is located on the tourist route "Valožyn Hascincy" and, according to a press release by the EU Delegation to Belarus, this opportunity for organised birdwatching increases the chances of attracting tourists.

The initiative is part of the EU-funded project "Support to Local Development in the Republic of Belarus" and is aimed at increasing the tourism potential of the Valožyn district by developing infrastructure for ecological tourism.

The birdwatching platform will allow the observation of waterbirds through binoculars and telescopes; it is also equipped with everything necessary for photographing birds.
