On 26 December 2019, the closing ceremony of Akhaltsikhe youth club, set up under the EU4Youth programme, was held at Samtskhe-Javakheti State University in Georgia. The SKYE (Skills and Knowledge for Youth Economic Empowerment) club was operated by World Vision Georgia for one year in cooperation with Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, as part of the EU4Youth – SAY YES Skills for Jobs project.

The event aimed to recognise the work and achievements of young leaders, who implemented initiatives such as a board games festival and sport events, and promoted a healthy lifestyle in their community.

SKYE clubs give an opportunity to young people aged 16-25 to learn and take care of their community together.

Successful leaders and members of the club were awarded with certificates.

The SKYE clubs have been set up within the framework of the EU4Youth – SAY YES Skills for Jobs project, which is funded by the European Union and aims to contribute to jobs and self-employment among young women and men aged between 15 and 35 in Armenia and Georgia.
