Experts from the Energy Community and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova met in Chișinău to discuss a concept strategy for making existing buildings in Moldova more energy efficient.
The main topics of discussion were the introduction of building renovation passports and possible financing mechanisms. The strategy will aim to reduce energy cost and bring economic, societal and environmental benefits to the citizens of Moldova.
The assistance is part of EU4Energy’s support for Moldova in fulfilling its commitments under the Energy Community Treaty. It builds on the gap analysis of the country’s Energy Performance of Buildings Law and the updated Energy Performance Calculation Methodology.
