The EU4Energy Governance project will support Ukraine in developing a long-term strategy for mobilising investment in the renovation of the national stock of residential and commercial buildings, in order to boost their energy efficiency.
On 19 July, Energy Community experts met with representatives of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine and the Ministry for Regional Development, Building and Housing and Utility Services of Ukraine.
The strategy will take into account Ukraine’s national energy efficiency targets for 2020 and 2030. It will also provide a clear picture of the current breakdown of the building stock in the country in order to provide an evidence-based estimate of expected energy savings and wider benefits, including economic, societal and environmental benefits.
