On 11 June, Brussels hosted the final conference of the EU-funded Eastern Partnership PLUS (EaP PLUS) project, which was designed to stimulate cooperation between researchers from the Eastern partner countries and EU Member States. The project is coming to an end in September this year.

The conference aimed to take stock of the project's achievements and highlights, making it the main event in the field of research and innovation cooperation between the EU and its Eastern partner countries.

The project’s final conference coincided with the overall celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the EU's Eastern Partnership.

During this event, the major achievements of the EaP PLUS project and of other projects involving one or more countries from the region were presented, followed by a summary of the recommendations on the ways to strengthen and sustain the bi-regional EU-EaP cooperation in the sphere of research and innovation.

More information on the event can be found here.

The EaP PLUS project aims to stimulate cooperation between researchers from the Eastern partner countries and EU Member States and enhance the active participation of the Eastern Neighbourhood countries in the Horizon 2020 framework programme.
