On 27-29 March, experts from Germany and the Netherlands will visit Azerbaijan to support the country to develop its internal and external quality assurance system for assessing general education.
The experts will share EU best practice on school assessment and provide assistance on developing an assessment methodology and rules for schools in Azerbaijan.
Moreover, there will be a discussion about the design of tests and open questions. The event is organised by the European Commission’s Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) in cooperation with the country’s Ministry of Education and Baku City Education Department.
TAIEX is a demand-driven tool that supports partner countries with the adaptation of national laws, regulations and quality standards to match those of EU Member States in the framework of Cooperation or Association Agreements signed with the EU. In the Eastern Neighbourhood, TAIEX works with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
