On 9 March, EU High Representative Josep Borrell met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Brussels to discuss bilateral and regional issues.
The two high-ranking officials discussed the resolution of the Nagorno–Karabakh conflict. Borrell said the EU fully supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group for peaceful solution of the problem. The High Representative and the Prime Minister both agreed on the key role of the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus in this context.
EU High Representative also welcomed Armenia’s commitment to reform and implement the EU–Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. The High Representative added that the EU will continue to support Armenia on this path.
