On 11 May, the EU Delegation to Armenia announced the launch of its Europe Day 2018 celebrations, which will last until 2 June across the country.
This year, the Europe Day celebrations will be held in six Armenian cities and will conclude in Yerevan. The first regional open-air celebration took place in Ijevan on 12 May. Hrazdan hosted the celebrations on 13 May. Europe Day will then come to Vanadzor on 19 May and Gyumri will host the celebrations on 20 May. The city of Kapan will host the celebrations on 26 May and Yeghegnadzor on 27 May. On 2 June, the concluding celebrations will be held in the country’s capital of Yerevan.
This year, the participants of outdoor public events will also have an opportunity to learn more about EU-funded projects in Europe and Armenia, in order to get acquainted with the projects’ achievements. They will also enjoy music, participate in various competitions and be able to win surprise gifts and taste different European dishes.
The embassies of 11 EU Member States to Armenia are also joining in with the EU Delegation’s culture and entertainment events throughout the month.
