Since the beginning of July, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the EU Delegation to Ukraine have been delivering personal protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare facilities in Ukraine that treat patients with COVID-19.

A new video shared on the Facebook page of the EU Delegation to Ukraine features Tetiana Mostepan, director of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital № 4, who explains how timely these supplies are. According to Ms Mostepan, due to the hot weather, medical workers use twice as much PPE. She also added that to ensure the safety of healthcare workers and patients, all PPE items have been checked to meet certain quality standards’.

The PPE is procured by the WHO Regional Office for Europe with EU funding.
