On 1314 June, migration experts from the EU and its Eastern partner countries will meet in Belarus for their regular Panel meeting on Integrated Border Management (IBM). While the overall purpose of the meeting is to exchange information on border management issues, specific attention will be given to so-called “green” border surveillance, based on the national experience of Belarus.

The participants will also review developments in adopting and implementing respective IBM strategies (both at EU and country level) and ongoing and future initiatives related to the EU’s support to cross-border cooperation in the Eastern Neighbourhood region.

The event will be hosted by Belarus with the support of the European Commission (DG HOME), the European External Action Service and the International Organization for Migration Mission in Ukraine, in the framework of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Panel on Migration, Mobility and Integrated Border Management.

The EaP Panel on Migration, Mobility and Integrated Border Management succeeded from the EaP Panel on Migration and Asylum in accordance with the decisions of the Eastern Partnership Summit of November 2017.
